What is a profession?

A profession is a vocation founded upon specialized educational training, the purpose of which is to supply objective counsel and service to others, for a direct and definite compensation, wholly apart from expectation of other business gain. The term is in essence a rather vaguer version of the term "liberal profession", an anglicisation of the French term "profession libérale". Originally borrowed by English users in the nineteenth century, it has been re-borrowed by international users from the late twentieth, though the (upper-middle) class overtones of the term do not seem to survive retranslation: “liberal professions” are, according to the Directive on Recognition of Professional Qualifications "those practised on the basis of relevant professional qualifications in a personal, responsible and professionally independent capacity by those providing intellectual and conceptual services in the interest of the client and the public"

Anesthesiologist

In the United States, the term anesthesiologist refers to a physician who completed an accredited  residency program in anesthesiology , usually four years following medical school either with medical degree. In contrast, the term anesthetist  is used for nurse anesthesia providers who have undergone specialized training in anesthesia.

SPORTS MEDICINE

Is  a branch of medicine that deals with physical fitness, treatment and prevention of injures related to sports and exercise. Although most sports teams have employed Team physicians for many years, it is only since the late 20th century that Sport and Exercise Medicine has emerged as a distinct entity in health care.

What is a Dermatologist?

A dermatologist is a qualified medical specialist who, through additional training, has obtained postgraduate qualifications to specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin disease and skin cancers. One person in ten who consults a general practitioner will do so because of a skin complaint. The GP may decide to seek confirmation of a diagnosis or assistance with therapy. This is when the patient is referred to a dermatologist.

Dermatologists treat patients of all ages, from babies and children to adolescents and adults. Although diseases of the skin are many and varied, Australian dermatologists spend much of their time treating diseases caused by exposure to the sun. These include skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma.Other potential skin problems that are part and parcel of a typical dermatologist’s work are acne, eczema, skin infections, psoriasis, occupational dermatitis, hair and nail disorders, surveillance of moles and cosmetic problems of the skin.

Shopping time!!

A retailer or shop is a business that presents a selection of goods or servicesand offers to sell them to customers for money or other goods. Shopping is an activity in which a customer browses the available goods or services presented by one or more retailers with the intent to purchase a suitable selection of them. In some contexts it may be considered a leisure activity as well as an economic one.

The shopping experience can also be influenced by other shoppers. For example, research from a field experiment found that male and female shoppers who were accidentally touched from behind by other shoppers left a store earlier than people who had not been touched and evaluated brands more negatively, resulting in the Accidental Interpersonal Touch effect. The shopping experience can range from delightful to terrible, based on a variety of factors including how the customer is treated, convenience, the type of goods being purchased, and mood.

What is Consumerism?

Consumerism is a social and economic order and ideology that encourages the purchase of goods and services in ever-greater amounts. Early criticisms of consumerism are present in the works of Thorstein Venlen (1899). Veblen's subject of examination, the newly emergent middle class arising at the turn of the twentieth century, comes to fruition by the end of the twentieth century through the process of globalization. In this sense, consumerism is usually considered a part of media culture.

BE SOCIAL.

Be social! Everyone isn’t going to be your friend forever, but some people will be.

Work extra hard during the week so that the weekend can be more fun.

Talk to upperclassmen! They can provide you with promising knowledge.

Enjoy yourself. College should be about learning, but it should also be about having a life and growing as a person.

Don't feel pressured. If you don't want to drink, you're not alone. There are usually plenty of activities besides parties. Join some clubs and pay attention to student-wide e-mails to find out what they are.

STUDY TIPS.

1 - Go to tutoring. If you feel like you're not understanding the material in your classes, don’t be afraid to ask your professors or peers for help. The resources vary by college, so find out early how you can get help.

2 - Study groups are the best. Ask your classmates if they want to study. It can make studying more fun and you can learn a lot.

3 - Don’t panic about midterm grades. Use them as motivation to improve. This is just an assessment to let you know your status in the class. You still have time to improve if they disappointed you.

4 - Don’t cram for exams. Make sure that you understand the material as you go along so that you can use the days before as purely review.

5 - Always treat yourself after taking an exam to reward your efforts. Buying yourself clothes, eating a hearty meal, or going out and having fun with friends are just some ideas to get you started.

6 - Check your status in class. If you have been working hard and are still struggling, check in with the professors. Some will offer extra credit.

7 - Talk to librarians! They are typically quite knowledgeable about research. Good librarians usually a degree in library science, and have done research and published papers.

8 - Borrow books first before buying. Only consider buying them if you think you will find the useful in the future. Also consider buying their e-book version, if available, to save money.

Personally i like this vídeo because nowadays we live in a world of constant change in every way, but one important its about technology and it looks amazing how in schools they are implement the use of tablets with didactic programs to help the development of children, they can use it to resolve exercises of math, read a book or just play and wake their brain. Education in the United States.

Education is provided by both public and private schools.

Public education  is universally available, with control and funding coming from the state, local, and federal government.mPublic school curricula, funding, teaching, employment, and other policies are set through locally elected school boards, who have jurisdiction over individual school districts. State governments set educational standards and mandate standardized tests for public school systems.

Private schools are generally free to determine their own curriculum and staffing policies, with voluntary accreditation available through independent regional accreditation authorities. 88% of school-age children attend public schools, 9% attend private schools, and nearly 3% are homeschooled.

Education is compulsory over an age range starting between five and eight and ending somewhere between ages sixteen and eighteen, depending on the state. This requirement can be satisfied in public schools, state-certified private schools, or an approved home school program. In most schools, education is divided into three levels: elementary school, middle or junior high school, and high school. Children are usually divided by age groups into grades, ranging from kindergarten and first grade for the youngest children, up to twelfth grade as the final year of high school.

Education in Mexico.

Education in Mexico  is regulated by the secretariat of public education. Education standards are set by this Ministry at all levels except in "autonomous" universities chartered by the government, accreditation of private schools is accomplished by a mandatory approval and registration with this institution.
The 1917 constitution provides that education should avoid privileges of religion and that one religion or its members may not be given preference in education over another. Religious instruction is prohibited in public schools; however, religious associations are free to maintain private schools, which receive no public funds. Proof of Mexican citizenship is required to attend public schools for free.
In the same fashion to other education systems, education may be described in identifiable stages, such as Primary School, Junior High School, High School, Higher education, and Postgraduate education.

Final exam?

I personally like this cartoon about education, because everyone hate maths well i think so, and this an example of what happens in a exam of subject, while youre fightin with the right answer teachers enjoy the moment because you have all the course to learn an in the end you miss everything and you never asked doubts in class, i guess half or more of the students in the class have this problem with math, so what do you think about it?

What's education?

Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of others, but may also be autodidathic, any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. Education is commonly divided into stages such as preschool, primary school, secondary school and then college or university.

A right to education has been recognized by some governments. At the global level, Article 13 of the United Nations' 1966 International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights recognises the right of everyone to an education. Although education is compulsory in most places up to a certain age, attendance at school often isn't, and a minority of parents choose home-schooling, e-learning or similar for their children.
